The Firm
The firm of Lawrence Lee Vowels Architect, P.C. was established on
April 1, 1991. In 2005, the firm changed its name to L Squared
Architects. Since its inception, the firm has striven to provide the
highest quality Architectural services possible at a fair price.
The Office
August of 1999 was an event the firm had looked forward to for years....the
new office. The office is located in what was the Dr. Pepper Bottling
plant. Given the task of designing a space in an old warehouse was quite
exciting. Images of the past coursed through our heads as we
designed. The most outward appearance of the memory of what was is the
wrought iron "Dr. Pepper Bottle Sculpture" we designed to mark our
entry. The hollowness of its form recalls what was here, but has spilled
out to leave a wonderful space in which the firm works.
The Award
May 2000 brought with it an award from the local Historical Society for a
sensitive restoration and a creative adaptive re-use.
News:
All good things must come to an end. We are moving at the end
of 2008. The new location is temporary. Look for an
announcement of the new "permanent" location of the firm in 2009.
